Youth Chapter¶

The NANDA Youth Chapter supports university students, academic fellows, and early-stage researchers working on distributed multi-agent systems and civic artificial intelligence.

Fellowship Programs¶

1. Student Research Fellowship¶

A competitive six-month remote fellowship pairing students with core contributors to author peer-reviewed preprints and engineering artifacts. Fellows receive compute credits, access to simulation testbeds, and publication support.

2. University AI Lab Ambassador Program¶

Campus ambassadors organize local study groups, hackathons, and guest lectures on distributed systems and agentic AI.

3. Civic Engineering Micro-Grants¶

Direct compute and infrastructure funding ($500 to $5,000) for student engineering teams building open-source public service agents for their local communities.

Eligibility and Application¶

Open to undergraduate, master's, and doctoral candidates enrolled at accredited universities.
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Python, Rust, or C++ and familiarity with distributed computing or machine learning fundamentals.
Applications for the 2026-2027 cohort open in October 2026.
